El Golem (Der Golem, wie er in die Welt kam) es una película alemana de cine mudo, de 1920; dirigida por Carl Boese y Paul Wegener, cuenta la historia de un Golem de arcilla creado por un rabino de Praga. Está basada en la novela homónima de Gustav Meyrink.

Wegener realizó tres películas sobre el mito, siendo la más conocida la versión de 1920.

El personaje de Wegener protagoniza una de las historias de Treehouse of Horror XVII (2006) de Los Simpson.

It was directed by Carl Boese and Wegener, written by Wegener and Henrik Galeen, and starred Wegener as the golem. The script was adapted from the 1915 novel The Golem by Gustav Meyrink.The film was the third of three films that Wegener made featuring the golem, the other two being The Golem (1915) and the short comedy The Golem and the Dancing Girl (1917), in which Wegener dons the Golem make-up in order to frighten a young lady he is infatuated with. It is a prequel to The Golem and is today the most widely known of the series, largely because it is the only one that isn’t now lost.

Pimp my ride + Texas hold’em + Power rangers = JAKQ

Un intrigante programa de televisión japonesa en el que 4 individuos de diferente origen (un atleta consumado, un boxeador, una policía que no tiene ya nada que perder y un muerto congelado) son sometidos a una serie de procedimientos quirúrgicos en los que les reemplazan miembros perfectamente sanos por componentes biónicos.

Montando vehículos que harían reír al batimóvil, estos paladines de la justicia disfrazados de naipes luchan con villanos robóticos de mal carácter y peor ingeniería. JAKQ (no me hagan explicar el nombre, es mucho más que obvio) son lidereados por “Joker” un comandante retirado de algún cuerpo policiaco super peligroso que perdió su buen gusto para vestirse en algún incidente y ahora debe verse serio en un traje sumamente ridículo, otro de los incontables retos para los miembros de este comando super especial.

Este video, el número 1 de la serie, que muestra el origen del comando, nos presenta varias curiosidades interesantes:

1. El origen comercial de la compañía Nintendo.
2. Unos villanos que gritan “uiii” cuando atacan.
3. Como por momentos “Ace” (As) puede sonar como “Ass” (asno, culo) cuando se pronuncia rápido con un mal acento inglés.

An intriguing Japanese television show in which 4 individuals of different origin (a super athlete, a boxer, a former police officer gal that has nothing to lose and a frozen dead guy) are subjected to a series of surgical procedures in which their perfectly healthy limbs are replaced by bionic components.

Riding vehicles that would make the Batmobile laugh, these champions of justice disguised as playing cards struggle with bad temper and worse engineering robotic villains. JAKQ (do not make me explain the name, is more than obvious) are led by ”Joker” a retired commander of a super dangerous police force who has lost his taste for dressing in an incident and now must look serious in a very ridiculous outfit, another of the countless challenges for the members of this super special squad.

This video, the number 1 of the series, which shows the origin of the squad, presents several interesting sights:

1. The commercial origin of the company Nintendo.
2. Villains who scream ”wiii” when they attack.
3. How, occasionally, “Ace” may sound like “Ass” when pronounced quickly with a bad English accent.
